This file contains thermistor data from a 50m thermistor chain which was
deployed on a taut mooring below ELSI during the TOGA-Coare project.

The first line in the file gives the Julian date of the first record, 296.5
which corresponds to 12:00GMT on October 22, 1992.  Records were taken every
30 minutes. Each line in the file contains the following data:
Depth of the topmost sensor in meters, followed by 11 temperatures at sensors
separated by 5m, top sensor first.  The depths of the first, third, etc.
records are actual depth measurements extrapolated from the pressure sensor
on ELSI; the second, fourth, etc. depths are interpolations from their
nearest neighbors, e.g. D[2]=0.5*(D[1]+D[3])
