Section Plots 
=============	

Time-Section Plots display either time-latitude 
(meridional) or time-longitude (zonal) section 
plots TAO data. Depth-Section plots display either
Depth-Longitude or Depth-Latitude sections of 
Temperature.

When "Section: Meridional" is selected the 
longitude buttons will be active, and when 
"Section: Zonal" is selected, latitude buttons 
will be active. One or more of buttons will be 
greyed out if the data files for the corresponding 
location are not found on your hard disk.


Time Section Plots
------------------

A meridional (time-latitude) plot consists of a
top panel and a bottom panel, while a zonal (time-
longitude) plot consists of a left panel and a
right panel. You must select the variables and 
plot types (mean or anomaly) for the two panels.
For Zonal plots, you may also choose the Sampling
plot type.


Depth-Section Plots
-------------------

The gridded monthly mean section is shown in the 
top panel, and the anomalies are shown in the
bottom panel. As of June 1995, only temperatures
were available for display as depth-section plots.
