Indian Ocean Data These ascii files contain the latest data from our new moorings in the Indian Ocean. Files are named by variable and site, with _dy indicating daily average data. The variable prefixes are defined below. airt Air Temperature bp Sea Level Barometric Pressure cur Ocean Currents d Sigma-Theta dyn Dynamic Height heat Upper Ocean Heat Content iso20 20 degree C Isotherm Depth lw Longwave Radiation met Sea Surface Meteorological data including winds, airt, sst, and rh pos Mooring position latitude and longitude rad Shortwave Radiation rain Precipitation, or rain rate in mm/hr rh Relative Humidity s Salinity sst Sea Surface Temperature t Water Temperature w Wind Files are also collected into compressed tar files by variable, for example, sst.tar.Z.
